Part of the series Spectrum. This series examines different types of noise. Noise is named by colour, the way light is. Each work tries to capture the feel of one sound in an image. The series is open: more colours will follow.

Yellow noise emphasises the middle frequencies: neither low nor high. It is used to help you concentrate. One flower at the centre, everything else stays below: present, just not asking for attention. Focus is not the absence of noise. It is choosing where to look.
