A whiter shade of pale
A whiter shade of pale
Leucistic and albino animals are arranged in a restrained monochrome structure.
A giraffe, two lions, a tiger, a deer, a peacock, a crocodile, a cloud of birds — all in white, ivory and the softest blue-grey. Real species, real anatomies. Only their colour has been set aside. What remains is form, silhouette, posture: each creature freed from the visual noise of its ordinary markings and returned to something more essential.
Leucistic and albino animals carry symbolic meaning in almost every culture — representing a new era, purity, restored balance. The result here is closer to a dream than a photograph. But nothing has been invented.
