Springtime
A layered ecosystem built from botanical and animal fragments in Wimmelbild style.
Looking up through a meadow into an open blue sky: cosmos flowers, tulips, dahlias, dandelions, dark anemones. Everything moves upward — stems reaching, petals opening, birds rising. A lilac-breasted roller in the lower left, a turaco watching from the right, hummingbirds between the stems, a flamingo that has no particular explanation for being there.
Spring is the season of improbable density — more colour, more sound, more life per square metre than at any other time of year. This collage refuses to settle for less than all of it.
